Just came back from the premiere of the Harry Potter 5th instalment movie - courtesy of EK's collegue.. hehe..

And it was good and short... i think this is the shortest duration of a 'Harry Potter' movie so far..

i've religiously follow each and every of the 'Harry Potter' movies and this time, its impact doesnt blow me away.. I was still stuck to my seat even when the credits came rolling up...

Now, im just going to continue reading my 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' while waiting for the final book to be on sale next sat..

A long-waited family outing..
Sunday, July 01, 2007

When Dad sent me to work this morning, he told me,

"Hey, lets go out for dinner tonight."

"Great! Where are we going dad?"

"Kallang for some porridge, since it will be tear down soon, along with our National Stadium.."

"What? Porridge? huh.... kallang got nice porridge stall meh?"
..
..
..

Nevertheless, Dad drove us all the way from Marsiling to Kallang for some porridge and half way there, we stop by east coast beach for some strolling before dinnertime.

Saw the east coast water sports center and they have this makeshift "pond" where amauters learn how to wakeboard...

The proposed ferris wheel that is gonna be up soon. This was taken while i wait for a table at the restaurant. If my dad didnt bring me here, i would not have know this place. Its called the Oasis, located just next to the National Stadium. Some of the restaurants at Oasis are, The No Signboard Seafood, Thai Shark Fin Restaurant and the famous Taiwan Porridge that we are gonna have for dinner..

I dont know what is sooo special with this porridge but the queue over here seems to say that the porridge here is damn fantastic! In the end, we waited an hr for a table!

1 big pail of sweet potato porridge, 10 dishes, 1 soup and many glasses of chinese tea later, we are all full to the brim! The food here is yummylicious! Now then i know that even the most simple food can be so tasty.. =) Total damage - $109 for porridge (Whoa!) and its daddy's treat. hehe..

To end the nice dinner with a super exp bowl of almond jelly with longan is pure heaven. Only ordered 1 bowl to share among us as it is a freaking $5! Dad, seeing us so 'Ke-lian' decided to drive us to Rochor for some Tau Huay (beancurd).
A very long waited family outing on a hot sunday - im a happy girl today. =)
